James & I got married this Saturday – it is official!  Our family and almost-family friends flew into Seattle for the wedding, in Magnolia Park, followed by dinner & cake at Flying Fish.  The weather was perfect, everything went off without a hitch, and we all had a great time. Here are some pictures, and more are on their way.  Unfortunately our photographer fell off his bike & broke his arm yesterday (sound familiar?!), so his photos should be ready sometime next week. Isn’t James your brother? Don’t you mean JAMIE and I finally got married. I think you do…

  2. Emily Says:

They just like to confuse everyone. I don’t think they’re harboring any real hope that we’ll all start to call Jamie James. It’s about six years too late…

Beautiful wedding and beautiful pictures! So happy for you guys!!

    Hey Sam!

I’m with you. Sarah and JAMIE got married. How about we end the confusion right now, once and for all. Let’s all refer to them as Mr. and Mrs. Welle!

The beautiful ceremony reminded me very much of one of your favorite movies: “The Princess Bride”.

Once upon a Time…Storybook Love Lyrics
Written and sung by Willy DeVille,
    arranged by Mark Knopfler,
engineered and mixed by Steve Jackson

Come my love, I’ll tell you a tale
of a boy and girl and their love story
and how he loved her oh, so much,
and all the charms she did possess.

My love is like a storybook story.
But it’s as real as the feelings I feel.
My love is like a storybook story.
    But it’s as real as the feelings I feel;
it’s as real as the feelings I feel.

Now this did happen once upon a time
When things were not so complex.
And how he worshipped the ground she walked on.
When he looked in her eyes, he became obsessed.

This love was stronger than the powers so dark,
    A prince could have within his keeping;
His spells to weave and steal a heart
Within her breast, but only sleeping.

He said, “Don’t you know I love you oh, so much,
And lay my heart at the foot of your dress?”
She said, “Don’t you know that storybook loves
    Always have a happy ending?”

Then he swooped her up, just like in the books,
And on his stallion they rode away.

What you and Jamie have discovered is truly right out of this storybook.

Enjoy your journey in life together.

    Peace and Love,

    Erck Family Picture:
For the record, we are standing on the side of a hill (duh, we’re in Seattle). John is on the uphill side. That’s why he looks so much taller.

    Sarah is very happy.
    Dad is very proud.

  10. John Bob Says:

The statement from Dad about me being on the uphill side of the pic is ridic. I’ve been the outcast of the fam for being the “blondey” (sp?) and now that my Viking like attributes are showing through you come up with excuses?!? Hmmm…sounds like dad’s a little jealous that I’m bigger than he is!!

    congratulations. :)
